International Membership
Any Full Member (Specialist) may apply for International Membership if he/she intends to remain abroad for more than a year, on condition that he/she remains registered with the HPCSA or the medical regulatory body of the country of residence and / or country of practice.

Associate Membership
Any qualified medical practitioner registered with their national healthcare regulator (including South Africa, the Southern African Development Community or any other country) who is interested in the practice, teaching and research in Anaesthesiology, but is not eligible for full membership. This can be due to not being a specialist registered with the HPCSA, but another country.
